"Barter" is defined as "the exchange of goods without involving money"
I've never been one to insist on cash payments when I've done a job for someone, especially if they had something I equated to the value of the job. When I was a cab driver, there were many occasions where I accepted goods in lieu of cash from the client.
Alternatively, If I've got something for sale (listed on any of the many forums I frequent), don't be afraid to offer me something in return - as I said above, I'm not a stickler for "cash on the barrel head".
What am I looking for at the moment?
An Apple Mac Mini. New is good, for warranty reasons, but any vintage is fine, so long as it runs.
A manufacturer-refurbished Nook Color e-reader.
Those are the primary things I'm looking out for now, but don't be afraid to make an offer.
