Here's a SUPER deal on a Moto E4

September 13, 2017 — Nalioth

Last month, Walmart offered the fourth generation Motorola E cellular phone for $39.95 with free shipping. It was sold out in about a day. N̶o̶w̶,̶ ̶a̶n̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶v̶e̶n̶d̶o̶r̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶o̶f̶f̶e̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶s̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶t̶e̶r̶m̶s̶

Update: As of September 01, this deal is over

First, the important bit ( we can read all the words later ): Amazon has the Verizon Prepaid Motorola E4 o̶n̶ ̶s̶a̶l̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶$̶3̶9̶.̶9̶5̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶f̶r̶e̶e̶ ̶s̶h̶i̶p̶p̶i̶n̶g̶. It has an estimated shipping time of up to four weeks, but that's just Amazon hedging its bets. This is an absolutely screaming deal.

The Motorola E series has long been Motorola's "entry level" Android handset. While not cheap at its premiere ( and still not that cheap, outside of these crazy sales ), the fourth generation model has a load of great features.

First and foremost, it ships with all North American radios ( technically, it can be used by any person in North America with any cellular service provider ). As you may guess, the telcos "lock" out this functionality so it only works with their radio bands.

The good news? This Verizon-branded Moto E4 can be GSM-unlocked via reputable agencies for a few bucks, and at that point can be used by any customer of the AT&T or T-Mobile network ( including MVNOs & subsidiaries ).

Some of the many fine features to be found on the Moto E4:

  • 5" IPS LCD display ( 720 x 1280 resolution )
  • LCD protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3
  • GSM / HSPA / LTE capable ( Usable wtih all North American cellular telcos )
  • Ships with Android 7.1.1 ( Nougat )
  • Powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU @ 1.3GHz
  • Has 16GB for user storage & 2GB system RAM
  • Rear camera is a 8 megapixel unit with autofocus and LED flash. Records up to 720p video
  • Front ( selfie ) camera is a 5 megapxel unit & has a flash
  • Has removable "Fast Charging" 2800 maH Li-Ion battery. 19 days standby or over 24 hours talk time advertised
  • B/G/N WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/GLONASS, FM radio & Micro-USB
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • Hopefully, some of you can take advantage of this crazy price on this excellent phone
