Late spring cleaning
I had some free time recently and went over the site cleaning up old & outdated content.
This includes removing third-party tracking sources ( like Google ) from most of the site. You will still find Google watching you on the few search pages to be found here, but shouldn't find Google tracking agents on any other page ( the site still uses Google Ads ).
Amazon's rickety old ( and obsolete ) flash-powered music player code also got thrown out.

On blog commenting
I've not utilized commenting systems for blogs ( up until this one ) for a variety of reasons.
Primarly, these would be privacy & efficiency

Yes, folks it's been 5 years since I posted a blog entry. Sadly, the computer that was running the blog back then spontaneously failed and I was unable to recover any of the blog software or posts from it (Yes, I know "backups"). In any event, I'm back now and will try to blog more regularly.
